DMJ & Co., PLLC will be participating in the NC Association of CPA’s (NCACPA) “CPA Day of Service” event on Friday, Sept. 18, 2015. Professionals in Greensboro and Sanford offices will commit to serving the needs of community partners including:
- Senior Resources of Guilford is a United Way member agency and nonprofit organization which promotes the independent living, quality of life and aids to the disabilities of seniors.
- After Gateway is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for adults with multiple and/or severe development disabilities.
- Triad Health Project provides emotional and practical support to individuals living with or affected by HIV/AIDS. It also educates those at risk and advocates for local, regional, and national individuals and groups infected with or affected by HIV/AIDS.
- Out of the Garden Project is a food assistance program for families primarily in Guilford County. It aims to give food and hope for every child through its mobile and stationary food pantries and reaches more than 900 families each week.
Now in its second year, NCACPA’s Day of Service continues to successfully serve North Carolina communities financially and socially. DMJ supports the NCACPA through professional membership and has many leaders who serve on NCACPA task forces and committees. DMJ Partner Arthur M. Winstead, CPA is currently a member of the NCACPA’s board of directors.
Serving the community is important to DMJ. Throughout the year, DMJ professionals serve and volunteer through committees, nonprofit board involvement, and donate personal time to local organizations. Whether it is a food or supply drive, a holiday giving program, or “polar plunging” for Special Olympics, DMJ is privileged to be involved and give back to the community.
