Laurie Williams, CPA, CFE

Burlington, NC - Laurie D. Williams, CPA, of Davenport, Marvin, Joyce and Co., LLP has been elected to a three-year position on the board of directors of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (NCACPA), the only statewide organization for Certified Public Accountants. Laurie previously served two consecutive terms as chair of the NCACPA’s Accounting & Attestation Committee.

Laurie attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she earned her B.S. in Business Administration and went on to earn her Certificate of Study in Accounting from Guilford College. She joined Davenport, Marvin, Joyce and Co., LLP in 1996, performing many of DMJ’s audits, reviews, and other attestation engagements. Laurie is the manager of DMJ’s Burlington Office.

In addition to her involvement in NCACPA, she is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Laurie is a CPA Ambassador for the AICPA and an alumna of Leadership North Carolina.
