Stacy Malmin West was born in Minnesota but grew up in North Carolina. She attended Greensboro College, where she earned a B.S. Degree in Business Administration & Economics. During her time at Greensboro College, she spent a year in Japan through an exchange program which earned her a minor in Japanese. She later returned to Greensboro College and received a B.S. Degree in Accounting.
Stacy joined DMJ in 1996, performing many of DMJ’s audits, reviews, and other attestation engagements. She was promoted to Audit Manager in 2004 and is a member of the firm’s accounting and auditing committee. She is responsible for planning and supervising engagements of various businesses and organizations in the areas of distribution, non-profit, manufacturing, professional services, and construction.
Stacy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants. In 2009, she was honored by The Triad Business Journal as a "40 Leader Under 40" winner. The award recognizes professionals who have proven to be outstanding people within their business and within the community.
Stacy is also active in community affairs, including current involvement serving as treasurer for Greenhill Center for North Carolina Art and Gibsonville Swim & Racquet Club. She has also served as the parent representative of the McLeansville Elementary School Leadership Team.
Stacy enjoys spending time with her husband and children and travelling.
