Dana is an audit and accounting partner at Davenport, Marvin, Joyce & Co., LLP. She is responsible for planning and supervising engagements of various businesses in the areas of non-profit organizations, manufacturing, professional services, construction contractors and healthcare. Dana has worked closely with her clients to help them achieve their objectives since joining the firm in 1990.
Dana is experienced in all phases of accounting and taxation. The emphasis of her work is on solving client issues by working closely with client’s management and Board of Directors.
In addition to being licensed as a Certified Public Accountant, Dana holds Series 7, 66 and 24 securities licenses issued by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and serves as the Office of Supervisory Jurisdiction (OSJ) for DMJ Wealth Advisors.
Dana is originally from Baltimore, Maryland. She attended Towson State University, where she earned a B.S. Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants.
Dana currently serves on the Board of the ARC of Greensboro and is an active member of The Greensboro Estate Planning Council, Carolina Flyers, Inc., and the High Point Property Owners Association. In 2007, Dana was honored by the Triad Business Journal as a Women in Business award winner among a group of distinguished professional women who are honored for their achievements.
Additionally, she is active in the community, is a member of the Optimist Club of Greensboro and devotes many hours volunteering for Special Olympics.
Dana enjoys spending time with her husband, Mike, gardening, boating, water skiing, and participating in other outdoor activities.
